I have 2 cats, about 2 1/2 yrs old (brothers). Both are neutered. I've always had 1 litter box, because that is all I could fit in the bathroom. About 5 months ago, 1 of the cats started using my bath mats as a litter box. I now have 3 litter boxes. Two in the guestroom & 1 in the bathroom, thinking that he needed another box. It hasn't helped. He is now urinating on any loose object. (Throw blankets, a cat bed throw rugs, etc.) Does anyone know what could cause this?
