My 7 year old Boxer just finished is second heart worm treatment and seems to be in pain is there anything I can do to help ease him?

Talk to your veterinarian about appropriate pain management. Pain at the injection site and general malaise are common side effects of heartworm treatment. Do NOT give any medication without talking to your veterinarian. Some veterinarian give certain steroids or non-steroidal anti-inflammatories along with treatment and medication you give at home can interact and cause severe problems.
