Diarrhea is quite common in dogs.  You should never give a dog human medication unless directed to do so by your vet.  Make sure your lab has plenty of fresh water and feed him/her only high quality commercial dog food - no table scraps or other extras - as the most likely cause of the diarrhea is something he/she ate.
