My neighbor had surgery and adopted a dog. Since she couldn't take care of him he's been at my house for 2 wks. He goes to his "forever" house Sat. Should we let him visit at my house the first few days or give him time to adjust?

It sounds like you've become quite fond of your neighbors dog.  She's lucky to have such a great neighbor.  This dog is lucky to have two homes that will be watching out for and loving her.  If your close with your neighbor and will be visiting regularly with her I would say let him come over right away, if this is something new for you then I would wait for him to come and see you, he will.  I hope this helps.

Thanks, Mary.   We've done lots of visits to her house and her yard.  We have a gate in between our 2 back yards.   Hopefully, that will make the transition easier.   Tonight he is going to have a sleepover at her house.   She has another dog that the new dog absolutely adores.   They play a lot.    I'll miss my little black dog........
