My dog is 8 yrs old and was playing really hard at the dog park yesterday, more than usual. I think he is now very sore on his hind and back- is it ok to give him aspirin or ibuprofin for the pain/inflammation?

NO! DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOG HUMAN MEDICATION! EVER!! It can cause serious health problems, go to your vet or a pet shop they will probably both have medication, but really go to your vet and get actual help.
