My boston terrier has a circular bald spot on his hind leg that just formed, and has small red bumps under the fur surrounding the bald spot. It seems to be itchy and the skin in the bald spot is a pinkish color. What could it be and what can stop it?
Hate to tell you but it sounds like ringworm. That fungus is very stubborn and a little expensive to take care of. I am still not sure if thats what it is though but if you start getting curcular patches of dry skin on you that itch. It is ringworm. It can be carried by cats and that is mostly how it is passed around, by cats. And young children in daycare or elemntary. And yeah, it cann be passed from animmal to human, human to animal and animal to anaimal. But the cat does not have to always shows signs to be a carrier. Check pics of ringworm out online.
