I was told that giving my dog benedryl for his allergies is ok, but is giving him tylenol for minor injuries ok too. He hurt his paw the other day by landing on it wrong while running in the backyard so Is tylenol ok to give him or should I bring him to the vet to get pain meds?

Recently, I've noticed my dog scratching himself frequently, particularly on the belly, thighs and shoulders, and have noticed him chewing and licking at his legs. I have noticed some little black specks on his fur. The itching and scratching is getting worse and worse and I'm afraid that he may get a skin infection or something more serious. Does my dog have fleas? What sort of treatment should I start with? What other things should I do to handle an infestation?

I got a chihuahua from the pound 3 months ago. She must have gone through alot because she is very scared and flinches at anything. She absolutely does not want to be loved and no matter what we see no improvement. She craps on all our stuff. She is the most scared when you picked her up and will sometimes crap herself. She settles down once we are holding her. What can we do to see an improvement?! We won't give her up but at times feel like it.

When I take my little 12 pound spaniel mix on a walk she stops to pee about 35 times as we go around the block. No exaggeration. This just started last week. When she pees she takes a very long time and sometimes she isn't actually peeing. She doesn't seem to be in any pain. What could be wrong?

I just moved into an apartment from a single family home and my dogs are a barking mess. Every single noise gets them barking and I can't get them to stop. I bought a barking whistle and it doesn't even phase them. Is there any products out there proven to stop barking or something I can try to get them to stop as soon as they start. My old ways of shushing them doesn't work here?
