I have an 8yr dachsund male, he is haunched and is carrying his head low. I took him to the vet yesterday and they did a complete physical on his back and legs and found no pain. When they touched his neck he was in alot of pain. They gave him a rimadyl shot and that seemed to help him but this morning he is in the same position?

I gave my guinea pig a bath today, and on her head was a little bulge, like a ball. She squeaked when I touched it, and it looked like it was filled with blood. What is it, and what do I do?

With a cat, is the paralysis from a broken tail immediate or progressive? If my cat broke her tail at the base, would paralysis of her colon and bladder be immediate...or could it happen slowly over the weeks after injury? Thank you so much.

My 2 year old Rottweiler Bella had surgery to remove some bone fragments from a injury when she was about a year old, now she has a marble-sized lump in the same area, its not really hard, but when you gently press it you can feel it's kind of a "crunchy" feeling?

My little pekingese was attacked by a pitbull and ended up with a broken jaw. I took her to the vet and they told me she would have to have surgery which would cost around 2k to fix. Is there anyway seeing as it is a pre-existing injury, that I can get pet insurance that would cover this?

We just adopted a 2 year old male Flemmish Giant rabbit who had a minor injury to his ear. We are now worried that the injury has caused the ear to flop as he is not keeping it up like the other ear, and he has not wanted to come out of his cage today. My question is: Is there anything we can do before taking him to a vet?

I have a close friend who has two rottweiler/lab mix dogs. One of them hurt his hind leg many months ago and they never took him to the vet. His leg just hangs and he doesn't use it much. He doesn't whine or seem in pain but I feel it is abuse and doing more damage to him if they don't get it checked out...how do i proceed? Like I said its a close friend but I feel for the dog... :(

My maltese hurt himself this morning...he can't jump up into a standing position or jump on my legs (where his front paws are on me and he's standing on his hind legs). Getting into this position causes him to yelp. The Vet Tech did a brief physical exam and he shows no signs of pain. And when he's on all 4's he runs around and plays...what could be causing this issue?
